Spicy Tempe Satay

400 grams tempeh, cut into cubes
2 bay leaves
1 knuckle of galangal, bruised
100 ml coconut milk
Salt and sugar to taste
Ground spices:
8 red onion cloves
5 cloves of garlic
10 red cayenne peppers
1 segment of turmeric
1 tsp coriander
Spread ingredients:
2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce mixed with 1 teaspoon oil, stir well
How to Make Spicy Tempe Satay
- Saute ground spices with salam and galangal until fragrant.
- Add tempeh, stir well, pour in coconut milk. Add salt and sugar to taste. Cook until the coconut milk dries up and the spices are absorbed.
- Skewer the tempeh with satay sticks.
- Brush with sweet soy sauce, then the roots until fragrant and browned. Remove and serve warm with your favorite pickles.
