DENPASAR, BALIPOST.com – The 17th annual Denpasar Festival which started on Sunday (22/12) entered its final day on Wednesday (25/12). The closing day, which coincided with the Christmas celebration, was enlivened by a number of musical performances and various cultural arts performances.
Apart from musical performances and various arts and culture, there were also awards given to the best stand category and a tengkuluk competition.
Ida Ayu Ari Sri Laksmi as the committee said that on the last day of the Denpasar Festival there was no special event such as an opening, but only awards were given to MSMEs as appreciation for participating for four days in enlivening Denfest.
The categories of awards given were Best Stand, Tengkuluk Competition and Gensi Creative Competition.
The following are the winners of the Best Stand category:
1st Place: Warung Mang Kakul
Second Place: Nang Ethong
3rd Place: Dira Ribs

Hope III: Warung Dong Soka
Meanwhile, the winners of the Tengkuluk Competition are:
1st Place: Makpak
Second Place: Mang Kakul
3rd Place: Old School Drinks
Hope: Warung Adnyana
Harapan II : Warung Story
Hope III: Rachick Duck
Laksmi also added that the estimated number of visitors who came to the Denpasar Festival on the first day was approximately 5,000 visitors, on the second day there were an estimated 9,000 visitors who enlivened the Denfest event. “Meanwhile, the third and fourth days are the peak of the influx of visitors at Denfest,” he explained.
Dayu Dian, owner of Dira Ribs, who was one of the winners of the favorite stand, said that the second time she participated in this event, she did not expect that she would become one of the champions, because according to her there were many stands that were more interesting.
He also added that the turnover obtained during the four days of attending the Denfest event was quite profitable. In fact, several times it ran out of stock.
He hopes that participating in this event can further develop his business. Because, apart from opening a stand, he also has a home store. If possible, next year he will take part in this event again.
Apart from that, musical offerings and cultural performances also liven up the final day of the Denpasar Festival. From the cultural stage there were performances of Barong Landung Mepajar, Drama Putri Ayu, and Drama Cupak Gerantang.
Apart from culture, the final day was also enlivened with musical performances held in the music stage area, including musical offerings from Ferabi, Blacklist, Tjok Bagus & Friends feat Triola. Followed by Zat Kimia, Pop Bali Pramusti, Gus Teja and finally the Bali Reggae Movement. (Cahya Dwipayanti/balipost)
