Jakarta –
Some foods that are often considered unhealthy actually have benefits for reducing stomach fat. So, what food is meant?
Fat that accumulates in the body is divided into two types, namely visceral fat and subcutaneous fat. However, of these two fats, the more significant health effects come from invisible visceral fat.
According to nutritionist Lainey Younkin, MS, RD, visceral fat is fat that is behind the abdominal muscles and covers the body’s organs, such as the stomach, liver and intestines.
Too much visceral fat can be dangerous. The presence of this fat is associated with high cholesterol, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, and an increased risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
The causes of excess visceral fat also vary, ranging from excessive body weight, menopause, genetic factors, to lack of exercise.
Of course, this visceral fat is better reduced by controlling your diet. Consuming certain foods and drinks is said to help reduce belly fat. In fact, a number of foods that are often considered bad are actually good for reducing belly fat.

Avocados are often given a bad rap because they are fatty and high in calories. In fact, avocado is a super food that contains unsaturated fats and is useful for reducing visceral fat.
A small study called the Eating Well website found that women who ate one avocado per day experienced a reduction in visceral fat. However, a different study found no change in visceral fat in those who ate avocados every day.
Even so, nutritionist Anna Rosell still recommends consuming foods that contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Apart from avocado, there are also seeds, olive oil and fatty fish such as salmon and tuna.
These foods can provide other health benefits besides just helping to lose belly fat.
2. Dairy products are high in fat

Dairy products, especially those high in fat, are often avoided when dieting because of their high fat and calorie content.
However, it turns out that the fat in dairy products plays an important role in creating a feeling of fullness.
Several studies show a close relationship between a diet that incorporates high-fat milk and a lower risk of obesity.
High-fat dairy products such as yogurt are also a good source of high-protein foods for your diet.
