Tek-Tek Noodle Soup Recipe Using Instant Noodles, Simple and Delicious


KOMPAS.com – Mi tek-tek soup is a dish sold on street vendors. It tastes spicy, savory and warm so it is suitable to eat when it rains.

You can make it yourself at home with simple ingredients and of course it is more economical.

Material:

  • 2 packs of instant noodles (choose the flavor according to taste)
  • 200 grams cabbage (thinly sliced)
  • 5 tablespoons green onions (sliced ​​obliquely)
  • 250 grams of chicken breast or chicken thighs
  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 tomatoes (cut into 6 pieces)
  • 5 tablespoons cooking oil

Ground spice ingredients:

  • 3 cloves garlic (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons red chili (sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 3 candlenuts
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons dried shrimp (soak in hot water)

Additional seasoning ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon vinegar
  • Flavoring (optional)

Supplementary materials:

  • Fried crackers
  • Fried shallots
  • Pickled carrots and cucumbers

How to make tek-tek noodle soup

  1. Boil chicken breast in one liter of water until tender. Remove the chicken, drain and reserve the broth. Shred the chicken after frying it with a little oil until it is half dry.
  2. Pour oil into a frying pan to heat, then fry the ground spices until aromatic. Add cabbage, tomatoes, spring onions, sweet soy sauce and vinegar. Mix well.
  3. Add the prepared chicken stock and bring to a boil. If you like, add eggs and flavorings to add deliciousness.
  4. Add the instant noodles and seasonings to the boiling soup. Cook until noodles are cooked.
  5. Serve the tek-tek noodle soup in a bowl, then add shredded chicken, fried crackers, fried onions and pickles as a complement.
