KOMPAS.com – Grilled corn is a favorite snack on New Year’s Eve or family events. Apart from being easy to make, this snack always succeeds in creating warm moments together.
There are various spices to make grilled corn taste more delicious, one of which is sweet and spicy.
The following is the recipe and how to make it, quoted from the book “Creative Corn Processing” the work of Taswati Suci Marginingsih (2010) published by Caraka Darma Aksara.

Material:
- 10 sweet corns (peel the skin)
Ingredients for grilled corn rub:
- 5 tablespoons margarine
- 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
- Salt to taste
- 25 grams of grated cheese
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed
- Mix margarine, crushed garlic and salt in a bowl. Spread the mixture onto the corn until evenly coated, then grill the corn over hot coals.
- Grill and cook the corn until cooked, the color is brownish yellow.
- Remove the corn from the hot coals, coat with tomato sauce, chili sauce, and sweet thick sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Serve.
