KOMPAS.com – Seblak is famous for its spicy and savory taste. This typical food from Bandung, West Java, generally consists of crackers, noodles and various other additional ingredients, such as chicken feet, various meatballs and vegetables.

Material:
- 1 kilogram of white aci crackers
- Enough hot water (to soak the crackers)
- 8 chicken eggs
- 200 milliliters of water
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons powdered chicken stock
- 4 spring onions (finely sliced)
- 8 tablespoons cooking oil for frying
- 12 beef sausages (sliced into rounds with a diameter of 1-2 centimeters)
- 10 beef meatballs (thinly sliced)
Ground seasoning ingredients:
- 20 cloves of garlic
- 6 red onions
- 2 centimeters galangal
- 5 curly red chilies
- 10 red cayenne peppers
Sprinkling ingredients:
- Fried shallots to taste
- Put the crackers in hot water and soak until the color is clear, then remove and drain. Boil the crackers briefly until soft, then remove and drain again.
- Pour cooking oil into a frying pan to heat. Fry the ground spices until aromatic.
- Add the eggs to the sautéed spices, stir until crumbly. Add the beef meatballs, beef sausage and boiled crackers. Stir until all ingredients are evenly mixed.
- Add spring onions, salt, sugar and chicken stock powder. Stir well.
- Pour water into the pan and cook until it is absorbed and all the ingredients are cooked. Remove, serve with a sprinkling of fried onions.
