KOMPAS.com – The vegetables served for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program are different in each region, the main ingredients used are adjusted to the production in that region.
Quoted from Kompas.com (6/1/2025), specifically in the Kalimantan region, one of the main ingredients for MBG vegetable dishes is green mustard greens.
Apart from being easy to find on the market, green mustard greens are also easy to process. The easiest way to make it is a stir-fry dish.

Stir-fried green mustard greens ingredients:
- 1 bunch green mustard greens (chopped and cleaned)
- 100 grams tomatoes (cut into pieces)
- 200 grams white tofu (steamed and crushed)
- 1 pair chicken liver gizzards (boiled and thinly sliced)
- 8 whole cayenne peppers
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil (for frying)
- 100 milliliters of water
Seasoning ingredients:
- 1/2 onion (long slices)
- 2 red onions (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

How to make stir-fried mustard greens:
1. Heat cooking oil then saute the onions and shallots until fragrant, then add the mustard greens, tomatoes, tofu, gizzard liver and cayenne pepper. Cook while stirring until evenly mixed, then add water, soy sauce, salt and pepper.
2. Cook briefly until the mustard greens look wilted, then remove from heat and serve while warm.
