Sarirasa Group Through Pantura Reveals the Forgotten Taste of Java Journey

Sarirasa Group has once again demonstrated its innovation in preserving Indonesia’s culinary wealth and developing it so that it is known on the global stage. Ahead of its 50th anniversary celebration which will be held in July, Sarirasa Group is proud to launch an additional food brand portfolio, Pantura on July 10 2024.

Inspired by Indonesian Traditions

The name Pantura itself is taken from the North Coast Route, which connects the eastern and western ends of Java Island, stretching for more than 1,300 kilometers and passing through five provinces: Banten, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java and East Java.

Inspired by a fading Indonesian tradition, it involves heartwarming memories of families eating together at roadside stalls along the Pantura Route while ‘going home’ ahead of Eid celebrations. The aim of the Sarirasa Group in establishing Pantura is to evoke nostalgia through traditional main dishes available in the stalls along this historic route.

Presenting Traditional Flavors with a Modern Touch

Comes with a unique cafeteria concept, where customers can choose their dishes from the available menu options. The Pantura menu offers simple, authentic and traditional dishes that are reminiscent of the taste of roadside stalls along the Pantura Route. Each dish is reinterpreted with a contemporary twist to appeal to all our senses and memories.

The flagship menu is Soto Harum, served in small bowls and accompanied by various delicious side dishes. Pantura invites guests to cherish cherished memories through taste, and is the perfect place for families to create new memories with inspired, delicious and affordable Indonesian food, in a stylish yet intimate setting.

Interior Design that Respects the Pantura Route

Apart from providing a pleasant dining experience, Pantura’s interior design is inspired by restaurants along the Pantura Route. On one wall, there are pictures of rickshaws piled high with luggage, reminding us of family trips during busy times in the Pantura.

The seating at Pantura is furnished with simple wooden furnishings, creating a distinctive simple charm with hanging lamps adding to the atmosphere and evoking nostalgia for the past.

“Pantura is once again a revolutionary step taken by the Sarirasa Group to respect, preserve and promote Indonesian culinary and traditions. Apart from focusing on making delicious food and maintaining menu variety, Pantura is also committed to using only the best quality ingredients for every recipe and focus more on food presentation and creative innovation while maintaining its focus on authentic taste,” said Lavinia Siswadi, Head of Marketing at Sarirasa Group.
