KOMPAS.com – When it rains, eating a bowl of seblak is an option. The refreshing aroma and taste of kencur makes this typical Bandung food even more delicious.
Apart from sausage, you can add other fillings, such as straw mushrooms and caisim. Because this fried seblak doesn’t have soup, you can also make it a practical lunch.

Material:
- 200 grams of rainbow crackers (soak in cold water until soft)
- 100 grams of straw mushrooms (shredded)
- 3 beef sausages (cut)
- 1 chicken egg
- 3 stalks caisim (cut)
- 1 sheet of cabbage (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 spring onion (thinly sliced)
- 200 milliliters of water
- 2 tablespoons oil (for frying)
Ground spice ingredients:
- 4 red onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 curly red chilies
- 1 large red chili
- 4 centimeters galangal
- Puree or grind all the spices until soft. Set aside.
- Pour oil into a frying pan to heat, then fry the ground spices until aromatic. Pour in the eggs, stir until they are roughly scrambled.
- Add the beef sausage pieces. Stir until smooth and the sausage is cooked. Add caisim, cabbage and straw mushrooms. Stir until the vegetables are wilted.
- Add the soaked rainbow crackers. Stir until all ingredients are evenly mixed.
- Season with sweet soy sauce, salt and ground pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are completely coated with spices.
- Pour water and cook until the water reduces. Remove and serve warm fried seblak.
