Ny. Lauw’s Dodol Making Process in Tangerang


KOMPAS.com – In Tangerang, Banten, there is a dodol and basket cake production house that has been in production since the 1960s, called the Ny.Lauw Dodol & Cake Basket Production House.

The use of materials of the same quality since its inception has been the key to this production house continuing to exist today.

According to the owner and manager of the third generation Mrs. Lauw production house named Iin, demand for dodol usually tends to increase ahead of Chinese New Year.

Therefore, Iin will employ more local people than usual to produce dodol in larger quantities.

Kompas.com had the opportunity to stop by Mrs. Lauw’s production kitchen on Friday (17/1/2025) and see the process of making dodol there.
