Surabaya – Italian Pizza and Madura Martabak, two dishes that are popular with many people, are now combined into a unique creation: Martabak Pizza Salmon. This dish presents a combination of thin martabak dough such as pizza, but still fried until crispy.
This martabak filling remains typical with eggs, leeks, and spiced chicken intestines. However, surprises came from the topping – the sliced onion, mushrooms, salmon, chili sauce, and a sprinkling of abundant mozzarella cheese. After that, this dish is roasted and mozzarella cheese is melted using a small fire welding to present a tempting aroma.
A martabak pizza connoisseur, Amanda, revealed the impression, “This tastes really rich! The pizza feels, the salmon is also delicious. The martabak itself is tasty, this is the first time try and immediately like it!”
This creation came from an experienced cook, Prabowo, who wanted to combine local and international elements in one dish. “I think what if Madura Martabak is combined with Italian pizza. So the contents are still there are intestines and leeks, but the topping uses salmon, mushrooms and onions,” he explained.
