Maranggi Sate Recipe, Perfect as a Delicious Dish on New Year's Eve

You can make a satay menu that is more next level, namely maranggi satay which is delicious and delicious. The delicious spices typical of Maranggi satay combined with the soft meat are guaranteed to make this menu a family favorite.

The following is a recipe for maranggi satay from Devina Hermawan’s YouTube channel, quoted on Saturday (28/12/2024).

Ingredients:

300 grams of pork tenderloin

Ground spices:

  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 10 red onion cloves
  • 3 cm galangal, sliced
  • 2 tsp coriander, roasted
  • 3 tbsp tamarind water
  • 4 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp mushroom stock

Tomato Sauce:

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 5 red bird’s eye chilies
  • 15 green cayenne peppers
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 cloves of red onion
  • 2 limes
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar

How to make:

  1. Slice the meat lengthwise, approximately the width of a finger, in the direction of cutting across the grain
  2. Blend all the ground spices until completely smooth, pour into the meat, mix well, marinate the meat for at least 1-2 hours
  3. After two hours, skewer the meat using a skewer that has been soaked first, skewer the meat in a zig-zag direction
  4. Preheat the grill, rub with a little oil / beef fat, grill both sides of the satay while occasionally brushing with the remaining ground spices, grill the satay to the level of doneness according to taste
  5. For the tomato sauce, grind the garlic and salt until smooth. Add the red and green cayenne pepper, grind until smooth, add the tomato slices, season with sugar, add lime juice, stir well.
  6. Serve maranggi satay with tomato sauce, sliced ​​red onion, lime and sweet soy sauce.
