Lemon Ginger Tea Recipe, Drink to Treat Flatulence

Reporting from Real SimpleTuesday (31/12/2024), a 2018 research in the journal “Food Science and Nutrition”ginger is a food ingredient that has a carminative effect or relieves gas.

Not only that, ginger also helps reduce pressure on esophageal sphincter lower part, reduces intestinal cramps, and prevents indigestion, flatulence and bloating.

You can make ginger tea at home, adding lemon and honey to make it fresher and more nutritious. Pay attention to your sugar intake in this drink, you should adjust it to your body condition and the desired level of sweetness.

  • 236 milliliters of water
  • 150 grams brown sugar
  • 15 grams of grated ginger
  • 3 tea bags
  • 2 lemons (squeeze the juice)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  1. Put in water, brown sugarand grated ginger into the pan. Stir and cook until boiling, then reduce the heat to low-medium. Cook again for about 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from the stove, add the tea bag. Let stand until the color and taste of the tea suits your taste, between three and five minutes. If it suits your taste, set the tea bag aside.
  3. Pour lemon juice and honey into the ginger mixture, then strain before serving.
