A woman shared her experience of eating only fruit for 30 days. This woman also felt positive and negative effects on her body.

There are many diet patterns for losing weight that can be done. However, this type of diet can be adjusted to the health conditions and preferences of the individual who is following it.

One type of diet that is quite well known is eating fruit. This requires them to eat fruit as their main intake.

A fruit diet is often followed because the nutritional content and low calories in fruit can help the stomach stay full longer while reducing calorie intake even more.

So, is this diet effective and doesn’t cause side effects? A woman who underwent it shared her experience of doing this diet for 30 days.

Shade Martin chose to do this diet after suffering from shoulder pain. Physical therapy and medication failed to cure the disease.

One day, he read that fruits with high alkaline content, such as pineapple, berries, bananas and mangoes contain anti-inflammatory properties which can help reduce pain in the body, reports dailymail.co.uk (16/01/2025) .

Martin then went on a fruit diet slowly. Starting with only eating watermelon in the first week. Then continue eating grapes for the next six days. Until finally he consumed a bowl of fruit throughout the diet.

It’s true that the food he consumes is only fruit, but Shade Martin feels different.

He felt his body was more energetic than usual due to the release of natural sugar which made him able to think more clearly.

According to one study from Harvard Medical School, consuming fruit can indeed improve brain function. The study found that women who ate one to two servings of strawberries and blueberries every week could delay memory decline by up to two and a half years.

Another side effect that Shade Martin experienced was that she never experienced stomach cramps during menstruation and her weight dropped 4.5 kilograms.

Fruits that contain lots of fiber also make this woman have smoother and more abundant digestion, according to her expectations.

Experts reveal that this increase in bowel movements is a positive change, because it can cleanse the digestive system and remove waste which can contribute to overall well-being.

Following a diet of fruit means that Shade gets more benefits than negative effects. However, he also realizes that this diet is not suitable for everyone.

Shade used to be a vegan, and often consumed fruit. So, his body is used to it, but maybe this diet is quite difficult for other people to do.

A nutritionist and professor at The University of Georgia, Dr Tracey Brigman revealed to the Daily Mail that she would give no extreme advice.

According to him, fruit is indeed the perfect food, but fruit does not have all the nutrients the body needs.

This nutritionist revealed that most fruits contain only a few calories which can cause a lack of calorie intake and fatigue. Therefore, a diet eating this fruit leads to malnutrition.

This fruit diet does have a few good effects, but that doesn’t mean there are no bad effects. Shade Martin also admitted that eating fruit does not have a big effect.

When Shade only ate grapes, he started coughing up phlegm and produced quite a lot of phlegm.

Nutritionist Dr Brigman revealed that overall, consuming fruit is associated with reduced mucus production. However, there are also some fruits that cause increased mucus production.

“This occurs primarily in individuals with histamine sensitivity or intolerance,” he explains.

Some examples of fruits that can produce mucus include grapes, oranges, bananas, and strawberries. So, it’s natural that after eating grapes, this woman coughed up phlegm.

In a question and answer session with health influencer Gillian Berry, this woman revealed that her menstrual cycle was very smooth and she didn’t feel any pain at all.

Unfortunately, Shade’s menstrual cycle lasts longer than usual. Dr Vinni Makin also recommends increasing calorie intake.

Of course the positive effects also affect the skin. She now has very bright skin, even though initially there were a few pimples appearing, but the end result is that her skin looks better.

On her diet day, this woman started the day by drinking a large glass of lemon water or lime juice. In about 20 minutes, he will make a smoothie with some of his favorite fruits, such as bananas, dates, blueberries, and cherries. Throughout the day, he will snack on pieces of fruit.

The hardest part was when she had to watch her husband and daughter eat normal food. He had to divert his attention.

Overall, he has lost 4.5 kilograms during 30 days on the diet. It seems that this is not a problem, because the main purpose of this diet is not to lose weight, but to reduce pain in the body.
