Hunting takjil in one of the oldest Muslim settlements in Bali

SEMARAPURA, BALIPOST.com – Entering the month of Ramadan, takjil is a food that is always hunted by the community as a menu for breaking the fast for Muslims. Not only from Muslims, but this various takjil also attracts the interest of other people, because of the availability of various food and soft drinks during the fasting month.

Food and soft drinks to break the fast every day always sell well from noon to evening.

Like in the village of Kampung Gelgel, Klungkung, one of the oldest Muslim settlements in Bali. Various takjil is always available since noon.

In the midst of the hot atmosphere, residents took turns coming to the takjil seller’s places, to just buy a variety of drinks and snacks.

One of the local traders, Diah, said that since opening at 2:00 pm, many buyers had arrived. Until before breaking the fast, the snacks of various kinds of snacks available in their places have run out.

Kampung Gelgel Village is indeed known as one of the regions with the existence of Muslims quite dense. Muslims in Gelgel Village have always lived coexist in harmony with the Gelgel Indigenous Village community, the majority of Hindus.
