Material:
- 500 gr chicken wings
- Ginger to taste (fine grated)
- 50 gr of cornstarch
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sesame to taste
- Sliced onion (to taste)
Sauce material:
- 6 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Gocujang
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 large cloves of garlic (geprek)
- Ginger to taste, grated
- 2 tsp sesame oil
How to make gocujang fried chicken
1. Sauce. Put all ingredients into the pan and bring to a boil slowly until it dissolves about three to four minutes. Remove from fire and set aside.
2. Season chicken wings with salt, pepper, and grated ginger. Coat the chicken with cornstarch until perfectly wrapped.
3. Heat enough vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Fry chicken wings for 8-10 minutes until crisp, turn the other side.
4. Remove from oil and place it on a kitchen tissue. Leave it a little cold for about two minutes.
5. Reheat the sauce, then put the crispy chicken wings into it. Pour into a bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced leeks. Serve.
