Bank Jatim Revitalizes SWK Pinghay, Now Much More Comfortable and Organized

SURABAYA – The Pinghay Culinary Tourism Center (SWK) which has been revitalized by PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Timur Tbk (Bank Jatim) was inaugurated on Thursday 18 July 2024.

The inauguration was attended directly by the Mayor of Surabaya Eri Cahyadi, Main Director of Bank Jatim Busrul Iman, Director of Micro, Retail and Medium Bank Jatim R. Arief Wicaksono, and Director of Operations of Bank Jatim Arif Suhirman.

Bank Jatim President Director Busrul Iman said that there were many positive impacts from the revitalization of Pinghay. Among other things, improving city planning in Surabaya and at the same time improving the living standards of traders.

“As we can see together, now Pinghay has changed to become very beautiful and neat. Moreover, it has been equipped with Bank Jatim’s QRIS as well. “So you can buy any food or drink cashless, very practical,” said Busrul, Saturday (20/7/2024).

With the existence of QRIS, continued Busrul, it is hoped that Pinghay’s turnover will be higher than before. Because, through the use of QRIS you can directly monitor how much has been sold and how much tax has been received.

Busrul also emphasized that Bank Jatim is always ready to support Surabaya City Government programs. Apart from SWK Pinghay, BJTM also wants to enliven various tourist attractions in the city of Surabaya by holding various events.

“Hopefully the good cooperation that has been established with the Surabaya City Government can continue and have an impact on improving the economic level of the community,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi added that this revitalization is not just about beautifying the physical appearance. But it can also improve the standard of living of traders through increasing turnover and the number of visitors.

“Hopefully in the future SWK Pinghay can be an example of success that can be applied in other places,” said Eri.
