Pu-erh Tea Can Lower Weight and Cholesterol, Here’s How to Consume It

Pu-erh tea from China is a unique type of tea that has many healthy benefits. Consuming this tea can help reduce body weight (BB) and bad cholesterol.

There are many interesting types of tea to try, including Pu-erh tea from Pu’er city, Yunnan province, China. This fermented tea is made from special leaves that grow in the Yunnan region, known as “wild old tree”.

On the market, Pu-erh tea is not only sold in dry leaf form, but also in compressed form so it is easier to carry. For example, brick shapes, cakes, even mushrooms.

This creates a subtle chemical process that further matures and softens the tea over time. Usually Pu-erh tea can be drunk after at least 3 months of storage.

Pu-erh tea is classified as black tea. Each brew can contain between 30 and 100 mg of caffeine per cup. For comparison, the average cup of coffee contains between 100-140 mg of caffeine. So consuming this tea still feels strong, but without annoying side effects.

Pu-erh tea is said to have a rich, soft, and ‘earthy’ taste with complex nuances, ranging from plum to chocolate.

Consumption recommendations can be adjusted to each person’s tastes and health conditions. However, start from drinking 1-2 cups per day to avoid unwanted side effects.
