KOMPAS.com – Banana cake is one of my favorite snacks because of its soft texture and naturally sweet taste.

With simple and easy to find ingredients, banana cake can be prepared for various events, from afternoon snacks to special dishes for guests.

Making banana cake doesn’t require a lot of sophisticated equipment, it can even be made without a mixer.

The most important thing is to choose quality ingredients, especially bananas that are perfectly ripe, so that the aroma and sweet taste are more pronounced.

The following are the main ingredients for making soft and delicious banana cake.

1. Ripe Bananas

Ripe bananas are the main ingredient that gives sponge cake its distinctive taste and aroma. Use types of bananas such as Ambon, Raja or Cavendish bananas which are soft and sweet.

2. Wheat Flour

Use medium protein or all-purpose wheat flour to produce a soft sponge cake texture. Mix with other ingredients such as powdered milk to add flavor.

3. Granulated Sugar

Granulated sugar gives the cake a sweet taste. Combine with brown sugar if you want a richer taste and caramel aroma.

The egg functions as a binder for the dough and helps the sponge cake rise perfectly. Use room temperature eggs to make the dough easier to work with.
