Benefits of Rumpu Rampe, a typical NTT food and how to make it

Rumpu Rampe is one of the typical culinary delights of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) which is very popular with local people and tourists. This vegetable dish is rich in natural ingredients, making it a delicious yet healthy meal.

Rumpu Rampe has become an important part of the culinary tradition in NTT and is often served at various traditional events and as an everyday meal. This dish is not only delicious, but also has many health benefits:

How to Make a Rump Rampe

Here are the simple steps to make Rumpu Rampe:

1. Boil the papaya flowers for 5 minutes, then drain.

2. Grind spices such as garlic, shallots, chilies, galangal, ginger and galangal.

3. Saute the ground spices until fragrant.

4. Add vegetables such as Moringa leaves, papaya leaves, banana blossoms and cassava leaves. Stir well.

5. Add enough water and cook until the vegetables are cooked.

6. Add additions such as anchovies or shrimp, then cook briefly until cooked.

7. Remove and serve warm.

Rumpu Rampe is not just food, but also a symbol of togetherness. This dish is often served at traditional events such as weddings, traditional ceremonies, or large family gatherings.
