Soto Betawi Globe H. Oji is a legendary culinary delight that has been open since the 1980s and still exists today.
“Selling here has been from the 80s until now. At first it wasn’t here, it had time to move around but finally it is here until now. There is no branch, only one here,” said Laras (29), who is the son of Mr. Haji Oji, owner of Soto Betawi Globe.

Soto Betawi Globe H. Oji offers several types of Betawi soto with fillings such as tripe, meat, lung, leg/muscle, and intestine/iso. Apart from the complete range of Betawi soto fillings, there are also coconut milk soups and clear sauces rich in spices that can be ordered.
“The characteristic of most of us is that our sauce is different from others, the difference is that the spices are more flavorful and our coconut milk is thicker. They say there is a smooky effect from the coconut milk sauce,” he said.

Laras said that people usually prefer to eat Betawi soto with coconut milk sauce. In one day, up to 700 servings of Betawi soto can be sold out.
“As for how much, we don’t count per bowl, but maybe up to 700 bowls a day. But trading fluctuates, sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down,” said Laras.
This bowl of Betawi soto is served with pieces of meat and tender offal accompanied by pieces of tomato, potato, and emping crackers doused with soto sauce with thick spices that taste delicious and spicy and appetizing. One portion of Betawi soto with rice is priced at IDR 40 thousand.

Apart from Betawi soto, there are also chicken soto, mie soto, goat soup, goat satay, chicken satay, goat liver satay and fried lung.
Soto Betawi Globe H. Oji is busy with visitors since morning, especially at lunch time. At lunch time, visitors have to be patient because it is quite busy, but fast service from Soto Betawi Globe employee H. Oji will not make visitors wait long to enjoy this legendary Betawi Soto.
Soto Betawi Globe H. Oji does not open branches other than in Pasar Baru, but serves large quantities such as catering and is available on food applications on line.
