KOMPAS.com – If you are looking for a healthy lunch menu that is easy to make, steamed tilapia could be the right choice.
Apart from being healthy because it is not fried, this dish has a delicious taste thanks to the use of strong spices which eliminate the fishy taste of the fish. As much as possible, choose tilapia that is still fresh.
You can enjoy this dish with soy sauce or onion chili sauce according to your taste.

- 3 tilapia fish (flesh pieces)
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 3 centimeters ginger (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
- 1 spring onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 large red chilies (remove seeds, cut into matchsticks)
- Coat the tilapia with lime juice and salt. Leave it for 10 minutes so that the fishy smell reduces.
- Stir together the garlic, ginger, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and coarse black pepper until well mixed.
- Add the tilapia to the spice mixture. Stir until all parts of the fish are well coated.
- Place the fish in a heatproof dish, then sprinkle with the remaining spices. Sprinkle some of the sliced spring onions and red chilies over the fish.
- Steam the tilapia for 25 minutes in a preheated steamer until cooked. Once cooked, sprinkle the remaining green onions on top. Lift, serve.
