5 Ways to Boil Eggs so They Don’t Break, Add Salt

The problem that most often arises is that eggs break when boiled. As a result, the appearance is not perfect.

1. Choose room temperature eggs

One of the main causes of eggs breaking when boiled is due to extreme temperature differences. Usually, eggs are stored in the refrigerator and boiled immediately.

This makes the egg break easily because the pressure inside the shell increases when exposed to heat.

The solution, remove the eggs from the refrigerator and leave them at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before boiling them.

2. Add salt to the boiled water

Adding salt to the cooking water can prevent the eggs from breaking. Just add a teaspoon of salt to a pan of water before adding the eggs.

Salt helps strengthen egg shells and reduces the risk of cracking. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes to get perfectly cooked yolks.

3. Don’t add too many eggs at once

Putting too many eggs in one pan can also cause the eggs to collide with each other when the water boils. As a result, eggs can crack, even break.

If you use a small pan, just boil three to four eggs. If you want to boil more eggs, use a larger pan or do it in batches.

4. Use vinegar
