Capcay Recipe, Free Nutritious Side Dish at SD Negeri Depok


KOMPAS.com – Capcay or capcai is easy to make at home. The capcay filling consists of chopped vegetables, meatballs, and sometimes added with seafoodlike shrimp.

Capcay is included in the side dishes of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program which started on Monday (6/1/2025).

Students of SDN 05 Cilangkap, Tapos District, Depok City, received a free nutritious meal menu with capcay as a side dish.

You can also make your own capcay at home with the recipe for stir-fried capcay for six servings from the book “100 Stir-Fry and Stir-Fry Recipes” (2012) by Dapoer 2 Iboe, published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama below.

Capcay stir-fry recipe

Material:

  • 100 gr carrots (sliced ​​obliquely)
  • 100 gr cabbage (cut lengthwise)
  • 150 gr mustard greens (sliced)
  • 10 meatballs (cut into rounds)
  • 150 gr small prawns (peel the heads and tails)
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 pack of tofu flower (soak in hot water)
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 stalk celery leek (sliced ​​round)
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • Enough cooking oil for frying

How to make stir-fried capcay

1. Saute the garlic until fragrant, shrimp and meatballs. Cook until the shrimp change color.

2. Add carrots and water, cook until the water boils. Add cabbage, mustard greens, beancurd, spring onions, salt and pepper. Stir well. Serve warm.
