How to clean the grill

To avoid this, consider the following simple method that uses ingredients generally available in your kitchen.

Tools and materials:

Before you start, prepare the following equipment:

  • Rubber gloves
  • Dish soap
  • Nylon brush
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar

Steps to clean the grill

Preheat the grill and let it cool

If the grill grate is covered in stubborn food crust, preheat the grill over low heat for 10 minutes.

This heat will help soften the fat and stuck-on food residue. After that, turn off the heat and let the grill cool before cleaning.

Wash the grill

Once cool, remove the grill grates from the appliance. Use rubber gloves to protect your hands from dirt.

Spray white vinegar on it. The chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar will form a foam that helps dissolve dirt. After a few minutes, gently scrub the bars with a brush.

Rinse and dry

Once all the dirt is removed, rinse the bars with warm water until clean. Dry with a clean towel. Make sure the bars are completely dry before reinstalling to prevent rust.

Additional tips

Do not use wire brushes on fuel grills stainless steel or porcelain-coated so as not to damage the surface.
