3 Contemporary Recipes for Prepared Satay, The Marinade is Permeable and Easy to Make

It must be admitted that the combination of skewered meat and lontong will provide calm to the stomach. Apart from its dense texture and making you full, satai also has a delicious taste thanks to the combination of peanut sauce.

Recently, there have been various kinds of satay that young people like, such as Taichan satay which is often referred to as contemporary satay. Different from satay in general, Taichan satay has a white color because it doesn’t use soy sauce and other spices when grilling it. This satay seasoning is also not peanut sauce, but chili sauce.

Apart from that, there are two other contemporary satay preparations that are also very popular, such as maranggi satay, where the spices penetrate into the meat. Reporting from several Instagram accounts, here are three contemporary satay recipes that are delicious and easy to make.

Maranggi Satay

This recipe is the creation of the owner of the Instagram account @vhe.veronicaa

Ingredients:

– 500 gr beef, cut into cubes

– 5 cloves of garlic

– 6 red onions

– 1 tbsp coriander

– Cumin to taste

– 1 tablespoon tamarind water

– Salt and brown sugar to taste

– 5-6 tablespoons sweet soy sauce

– Papaya leaves to make meat tender.

How to make:

1. Crush the papaya leaves. Wrap the meat in papaya leaves then let it rest for 30 minutes.

2. Blend the shallots, garlic, coriander, cumin, salt and brown sugar.

3. Mix the meat with ground spices.

4. Add soy sauce and tamarind water, stir well.

5. Let stand 15 minutes then pierce with a skewer. Grill until cooked.
