There are several factors that make coffee varieties rare in the world. One of them is that the large demand does not match the supply of coffee beans, then there is also coffee which is difficult to harvest and is only available in certain seasons.

Jamaican Blue Mountain is included in the ranks of the rarest coffees in the world. This coffee was first planted on the island of Martinique by the French in the 18th century. Due to its fertile natural conditions, the coffee grown on this island has good results.
The coffee has a smooth taste with a strong touch of sweet caramel. And there is no bitter taste from this coffee. The reason this coffee is rare is because after it is harvested the coffee has to go through a long process before it can be sold.
2. Hawaiian Kona

Hawaiian Kona was once called the rarest coffee on the planet. This coffee originally comes from America, where it grows in the Kona region which is surrounded by volcanic mountains between Mauna Loa and Hualalai.
This coffee is an exotic variety because of its smooth taste. As well as a touch of flavors such as caramel, milk, chocolate and nuts.
3. Peruvian Coati
The process of making Peruvian Coati is similar to Ivory coffee from Thailand and Luwak coffee from Indonesia. This coffee both uses animals as a natural fermentation process.
This type of coffee is rare because coffee is the result of fermentation from coati animals, a type of raccoon mammal that only eats ripe coffee berries. Then a fermentation process occurs in the coffee berries which will come out with the coati dirt.
4. Luwak Coffee

Luwak coffee is a rare coffee variety in the world. This original Indonesian coffee is rare because it comes from the civet animal, a type of civet, which digests the coffee fruit, then excretes it with the civet droppings.
After going through the digestion period, the coffee beans that are still intact will be collected and then cleaned, roasted and ground like the process of making coffee powder.
Due to its unique processing process, Luwak coffee has a rich and heavy taste with hints of caramel and chocolate.
