Jakarta (ANTARA) – Beef is a food ingredient that is quite easy to process into a variety of dishes.
One dish that you can try is cooking beef steak. Even though it doesn’t come from Indonesia, steak is a menu that is popular with many people.
This time, Head Chef Growell Pondok Indah Rahmat Hidayat shares one of the tips for cooking beef steak with organic ingredients that are healthy for consumption.
“To be healthy, we don’t use MSG. The cooking technique is also just… pan seared just. “The level of maturity is according to taste,” said Rahmat when met at Growell Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, Friday.
Following are the ingredients and steps needed to make healthy beef steak;
Material:
– organic beef
– rosemary
– garlic
– sea salt
– black pepper
– virgin olive oil
How to cook:
- Rub beef with sea salt and black pepper.
- Pour virgin olive oil in pan which is hot then add the beef.
- Crush the garlic, then put it inside pan along with rosemary.
- If the meat has changed color, turn the beef over and let it sit until the desired level of doneness.
- Remove the beef, season to taste, serve.
For medium doneness, Rahmat cooks the beef for less than 10 minutes. However, the duration of cooking the meat itself depends on the thickness of the meat and the desired level of doneness.
“Not even 10 minutes. Depends on the thickness of the meat too. “The level of doneness is also the taste,” he concluded.
