7 spices to make traditional herbal medicine

1. Turmeric

Turmeric or Curcuma Longa is a rhizome plant that contains active compounds called curcumin.

Curcumin contains antioxidants and natural anti-inflammatory, can help fight free radicals that damage the body’s cells, reduce inflammation, and increase the immune system.

2. Kencur

Kencur or Kaempferia Galanga is one of the spices that is often used for traditional herbal medicine.

4. Chili

5. Jintan

Jintan or Cumin are seeds that are often used as seasoning ingredients on typical Middle Eastern cuisine and South Asia.

A study shows that cumin can treat diabetes, high cholesterol, and digestive disorders.

Jintan contains active compounds such as cuminaldehye, terperes, and flavonoids which provide benefits to increase digestion, relieve stomach cramps, reduce inflammation, and increase endurance.
